Description
Scarlet Macaw at Red Bank: For only December- March, you have a unique opportunity to see Scarlet Macaws in the wild. These magnificent birds migrate to southern Belize because of the rich food source in the mountains above Red Bank village.
Take an hour’s drive to Red Bank village for a chance to see these incredible birds in their natural habitat, as well as many other colorful species. After birding, you will enjoy breakfast with a Maya family. Trips 2014-2023 have had a 100% sighting rate. 40-80 birds each time! This includes macaws in flight, feeding, perching, and even mid-air mating!
