From the full moon to the last quarter in the months of April, May, and June, Gladden Split and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve come alive with the aggregation of several different species of Cubera and MuttonSnappers, Jacks, and other Pelagic species in huge schools. The spawning of snappers attracts the world’s largest fish; the Whale Shark (gentle giant) which feeds on the spawn and other plankton in this nutrient-rich part of the reef. Don’t miss the opportunity to scuba dive or snorkel with this magnificent creature. Its a once in a lifetime opportunity and an exciting experience.
