Hey, I heard you were a wild one! The long weekend coerces Placencia to trade in its everyday go-slow laid-back way of life for a livelier atmosphere. The village bustles with activity as the two major bars, Barefoot and Tipsy Tuna, throw all-day beach parties that often lead into the wee hours of the morning. Besides endless dancing, drinking and eating, and fun games, many look forward to the annual Bikini and Mr. Physique contests!

 

 

If you don’t feel like doing anything, make your way to the water’s edge and treat yourself to a little R&R. Rock the day away in a hammock under one of the many coconut trees that dot the beach, ice-cold Belikin beer in hand. Or wade into the refreshing shallow waters to cool off and wind down.
